In a nutshell, “iwillhelpyourcat.com” is not a substitute for regular veterinary care that a licensed veterinarian provides through regular, routine, in-person visits. Most people know that, but Im going to spell out.

Lets be clear: two audiences will be viewing “iwillhelpyourcat.com”.

1) The first are my clients that I have met in person, and I have recently examined your pet, or see them on an annual basis in clinic. That is, we have established a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). Any veterinarian must have sufficient knowledge of the animal, including its health status, immunization history, nutrition, management, environment and hygiene, to provide a diagnosis and recommend treatment. After our VCPR is established, I may recommend viewing this website to obtain further general information. Instead of sending you home with information sheets, you now have an online resource.

2) The second audience that will be utilizing this website have never met me in person with your pet, so we do not have a VCPR.  Regardless of having a VCPR or not, the information (videos, PDF, information products or emails) or advice provided on “iwillhelpyourcat” is provided as a guide, and a not a definitive recommendation to utilize any described action or treatment. Nothing transmitted to or from me or iwillhelpyourcat, including email correspondence, constitutes the establishment of a VCPR between you, your pet, and me (sorry, you would have to see me in clinic first as noted above)! I cannot prescribe medicine or diagnose a medical condition. This website is not intended to prescribe medicine or diagnose a medical condition. In other words, this website and any correspondence is for educational and entertainment purposes only.  By using “iwillhelpyourcat”, you understand that there are risks and limitations associated with consulting with a vet online, as no VCPR has been established.

Before acting on any of the advice in the blog posts, articles, books, videos, emails, Dr. Kris Q&A or information products you should see if the advice is first applicable by talking with your own veterinarian that you have a VCPR with. The information on this website (including emails, PDF’s, videos and any information products) is provided for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary medical advice, evaluation, or care from your veterinarian. Nothing on the site should be used for treating or diagnosing a pet’s medical or health condition by replacing a relationship with your veterinarian.

Do not disregard medical advice because of something you have read on this website. Do not delay seeking advice from your own vet. No medications, supplements or treatments described on this site should be administered or begun without first consulting your veterinarian.
