Your cat has chronic kidney disease, and you refuse to give up.
You are not too late, and you are not powerless.
You refuse to give up.
That instinct matters.
Because CKD can feel relentless. One diagnosis becomes a flood of decisions, lab numbers, supplements, opinions, and late-night worry. You can love your cat deeply and still feel lost in the noise. Some of you were sent home with little more than a bag of prescription food and something to settle their stomach, wondering what comes next. Others were told your cat has “renal failure,” as if that were the end of their story.
It isn’t.
CKD isn’t managed by one diet, one supplement, or one appointment. It’s managed by understanding what truly matters, when it matters, and what can safely wait.
This diagnosis did not take away your choices that could help them thrive. You're probably just missing a few essential steps that you need to know.
Let me show you.
Introducing my new video course:
Meet Dr. Kris
I’m a practicing veterinarian and founder of the 100x Mobile Vet, author of Nine Lives, One Mission, and the creator of IWillHelpYourCat.com, where I help devoted cat owners navigate their issues.
For years, I’ve treated cats with CKD not in exam rooms, but in real homes. Kitchens. Living rooms. Bedrooms. Places where cats actually live, eat, hide, refuse pills, and surprise us.
That’s where I learned something important. Most CKD cats don’t decline because their people don’t care. They decline because the plan was missing crucial, essential details. Owners were trying incredibly hard. They were loving. Attentive. Willing to do the work.
But they were missing key steps, not because they weren’t trying, but because no one had ever organized CKD care in a way that made sense outside a clinic.
Information was scattered. Bloodwork arrived without context. Treatments are suggested without timing. No one zoomed out to figure out the bigger picture. And fear filled the gaps.
The CKD Master Guide video course takes my real-world experience and turns it into a clear, organized, vet-approved system you can actually follow, even when life is messy and the stakes feel high.
In this video course, you’ll discover:
The BITE strategy that anchors every decision you make. CKD feels complicated because everything affects everything else.
To make it manageable, I built this entire video course around a framework I use every day in practice: the BITE Strategy.
The BITE Strategy doesn’t give you more to do. It gives you a way to prioritize, so you can act calmly knowing you are doing it right. It helps you avoid the #1 problem a CKD kidney has to deal with. Without the BITE strategy, it can be hard to get your existing CKD treatments to work, which disguises your cat’s true health potential and vitality.
The BITE Strategy, the foundation of your cat’s CKD plan
You’ll also discover:
When to bring in tools like mirtazapine, potassium, and phosphorus binders, and when not to
How fluids, gut support, and small supplement adjustments can dramatically change outcomes
What to do when your cat still won’t eat, even after you’ve tried everything
How to give SQ fluids without turning your living room into a feline protest zone
What to do if your cat won’t accept SQ fluids at all
The SQ Fluids by the numbers chart - never give too much or too little.
The surprising, weird, and wonderful connection between the gut and the kidneys
How to spot and manage silent co-stars like IBD, arthritis, hypertension, infections, constipation, and hyperthyroidism before they cause setback, with the CKD Perils Checklist
Whether your cat was just diagnosed or you’re years into the journey, this course helps you make smarter decisions with confidence and flexibility.
This is not a generic course about CKD. It’s a practical guide for fiercely loyal, occasionally overwhelmed, deeply loving humans who want to do right by their cats.
Now let’s talk about Dr. Kris’s CKD Master Guide and your cat specifically:
“Is this just going to tell me to feed a prescription kidney diet and give a few medications?”
No.
Prescription diets and medications can be useful tools, but they are not a strategy. Many cats struggle with kidney diets, and many owners are left confused about what to do when their cat won’t eat, won’t tolerate meds, or keeps declining anyway.
This course focuses on how CKD actually behaves in real cats, how appetite, nausea, hydration, weight, and stress interact, and how to make practical decisions when the standard advice isn’t working.
“My vet already explained CKD to me. What’s different here?”
Although many veterinarians explain the technical facts well, they don’t live in your home with your cat.
Clinic visits are brief. Advice often comes in pieces. It’s nobodies fault, as there is only so much to convey in a 15-minute conversation.
This course is designed to fill the gaps between visits, helping you understand what to watch for day to day, how to interpret changes, and how to have clearer, more productive conversations with your veterinarian.
“Is this only for early-stage CKD?”
No.
This course is built for real-world CKD, from early diagnosis through more advanced stages. The principles don’t change, but priorities do. And as you will discover, my BITE strategy is independent of “stage”.
You’ll learn how to shift focus as your cat’s needs evolve, when to push, when to simplify, and when comfort becomes the most important goal.
“I’ve already tried everything. What if nothing works?”
Many cat guardians feel this way, and it’s often because they’ve tried many things out of order, or without understanding how they interact.
This course doesn’t promise miracles. It offers clarity, structure, and perspective, so you can stop chasing everything at once and start making calmer, more effective decisions.
Sometimes progress looks like improvement. Sometimes it looks like stability. Sometimes it looks like knowing when “enough” is enough.
All of that matters.
“Isn’t CKD progressive no matter what I do?”
CKD is progressive, but progression is not a straight line.
Many cats experience long periods of stability (sometimes lifelong) when the right things are addressed at the right time. This course isn’t about stopping time. It’s about slowing unnecessary decline and protecting good days.
“I don’t want to make my cat miserable with treatments.”
Neither do I.
One of the biggest misconceptions about CKD care is that doing more always means more stress. In reality, poorly timed or unnecessary interventions cause the most distress.
This course helps you understand when treatment improves quality of life, and when restraint is the kinder choice. Sometimes the most loving decision is knowing when to say “not yet”, or “not this”.
“My cat hates pills, fluids, and vet visits. This won’t work for us.”
You’re describing a very normal CKD cat.
Some cats don’t cooperate with textbook care. They refuse pills, protest fluids, hide at the sight of carriers, and associate treatment with stress. Forcing more rarely leads to better outcomes.
This course was built with those cats in mind. It focuses on sequencing, alternatives, and reducing friction, so care fits your cat, not the other way around.
That said, stress itself can worsen appetite, hydration, and stability.
For cats who are sensitive to receiving treatment, many owners choose to add the Stress-to-Success (STS) bundle, which focuses on improving cooperation, and creating calmer routines at home.
STS isn’t about forcing compliance. Learn all about STS here. It’s included in the CKD Complete Care plan.
STS is about lowering resistance, for both of you.
You can start with the CKD Master Guide alone, and add STS later if stress is one of your biggest barriers.
“I’m scared of doing something wrong and making things worse.”
That fear is valid.
Many people are paralyzed by the worry that one wrong move could cause harm. This often leads to either overdoing everything or doing nothing at all.
The course gives you guardrails, helping you understand which decisions carry risk, which are low-risk, and how to proceed thoughtfully instead of fearfully.
“What if my cat is already late-stage?”
Late-stage CKD still deserves thoughtful care.
The goals may shift, but understanding appetite, comfort, hydration, anemia, nausea, and stress becomes even more important. Stability and comfort are meaningful outcomes.
This course helps you recognize what’s still worth addressing, and what can be simplified, so you’re not just reacting in crisis mode.

This Course Isn’t for Everyone
This course is not for people looking for a cure. Chronic kidney disease doesn’t work that way 99% of the time. It’s not for anyone who wants a single rule, a single food, or a single supplement to fix everything. This course is for people who care deeply, who are willing to learn how their cat’s body is actually responding, and who want to make thoughtful, informed decisions over time. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
You could spend months chasing CKD guides and advice threads, then trying to stitch it all together at home. The issue isn’t effort, it’s that most CKD information is scattered and written for clinics, not living rooms. I’ve already done the sorting, translating, and organizing for you inside the CKD Master Guide, built around the BITE Strategy. I tell you what to do, what to take to your vet, and back it up with experience and science.
You can always book follow-up vet visits as new hurdles appear. A single recheck often runs $85 to $120, and a sick-cat visit can quickly climb to $400 to $800. That’s why I’ve intentionally priced the CKD Master Guide below the cost of an average vet visit, while giving you a clear, practical system you can use day by day, right where your cat lives.
Additional care packages are available below, and are recommended for extra support.
